Led by Paul Gillette, Stonebriar Capital was formed to search for, acquire and scale a single platform company to $100 million in revenue over the next decade. We aim to create an enduring category leader that will compound over many years through organic growth and add-on acquisitions.

Meet the Operator

Paul Gillette, Managing Partner

Paul has dedicated his career to growing and leading small- and middle-market private companies. He has extensive experience in private equity and M&A, as well as in leading teams through intensive change management processes. His expertise includes improving go-to-market strategies, sales operations, product development, and operational functions such as financial reporting, HR, IT, and cybersecurity.

Most recently, he was VP, Corporate Development for FoodChain ID, a private equity-backed regulatory and compliance software and TICC services company serving global food safety markets. Prior to FoodChain ID, he worked as a private equity investor at GenNx360 Capital Partners where he was responible for structuring and executing investments in family- and founder-owned companies. Prior to GenNx360 he worked in the M&A group at Jefferies supporting senior bankers on a variety of engagements.

How we’re structured.

The investment partnership consists of professional investment firms, family offices, and executives who have funded a Phase I equity investment into Stonebriar Capital Fund I LLC and will invest up to $50 million in Phase II equity to acquire one company with a total enterprise value between $10 and $100 million.

Upon acquisition, Paul Gillette will assume the CEO/President position and grow the business indefinitely with the support of the current employees and a newly formed Board of Directors.
